Chuck,

probably you are missing the commoncpp library that contains some basic
stuff used by ccRTP, such as threads, mutexes etc.

Please have a look at:
http://wiki.gnutelephony.org/index.php/GNU_Common_CPP_Framework

to get some more info about this.
