I have created a small patch

that should fix the bug #22798

I would like to discuss the changes with you and later get this patch
included in the CVS repository. ;-)

The changes are pretty straightforward except 3 lines in the original
RTIA/RTIA.cc (see FIXME) that look quite strange. I guess these lines
could be removed, but I'm not sure.
