It could be via IRC, time zones might be a problem, if everybody sends
me their time zone and a day/time when it would be convenient to have
a meeting I can summarize the information and see if we can agree in a
date/time.

This is another good option but how "quick" is an open question, on
the other hand if we find too many problems trying to accommodate a
real-time meeting this might be the only option.
