CMake 2.4.4 has shipped. I have made changes to CMakeLists.txt that require CMake 2.4.4 and have bumped up the required version number accordingly. Binaries are readily available for most platforms from , but there are no packages on Cygwin mirrors yet. I did, however, just compile CMake 2.4.4 from sources, using Cygwin ccmake 2.4.3 to do the build. So, John, please pardon the inconvenience of needing to build CMake. Others, feel free to wait for a Cygwin package, which Bill Hoffman says will be coming "soon."

CMake 2.4.4 has support for asymmetrical DLL versioning, so that cygblahblah-X.Y.dll can be supported gracefully. That's next on my list of tiny dragons to slay.
