These patches don't both apply.  They apply individually, though...
I managed to push this by making a separate branch on which I applied
the first patch and then merging it into master after applying the
other patch.  No idea if that's the "proper" way to do it.

God, I hate git...

Anyway, thanks!  I've now pushed this.
