[Chicken-hackers] [PATCH] Fix tmpdir handling in chicken-install (#1048)

Hi all,

As Ivan reported in #1048, chicken-install's handling of TMPDIR is
currently rather broken.  I noticed it has a nasty hack of dealing
with current-directory as if it were a parameter (which it isn't),
and it carries the "e+d+v" a bit too far.

See attached a patch which cleans up both these things and fixes the bug.
