[Chicken-hackers] [PATCH] Add support for X32 ABI on Linux

Hi all,

The subject says it all.  This is a tested version of the patch I sent
to chicken-users this morning.  I've also added some information to the
NEWS and README files.

I had some trouble getting the patch to apply to chicken-5, so I've
attached a separate copy for that branch as well.
