Because we risk breaking more than we fix, wasn't that clear from my
mail?  And like I said, we can fix it after 4.11.  It may mean you can't
use 4.11, but if I understand correctly you can't use 4.10 either.

To properly debug this stuff takes time, which means you would have to
wait even if we did include it for 4.11.  If we include it in 4.12
that means you would have to wait just as long, and you could even use
a dev snapshot or master once it's fixed so you can use it sooner.
Since you're already shipping a modified CHICKEN that shouldn't be too
much of a burden.

It's unfair to let other people wait much longer for 4.11 for a bug to
be fixed that doesn't affect them.  We've been postponing the 4.11
release for far too long as it is, already.

I really hope you understand this and can agree with it.
