Comment:

 We haven't seen more reports of issues related to this ticket, so I'm
 closing it.  Now with 224377d390456d9bd4ee5f43f44cea7c0872a08e we will
 have a clearer error message when users run into this issue (if ever -- in
 which case this ticket can be reopened).
