how about the following:
1. auto-quiet option
2. if somebody has already a quiet client running and he starts a new one,
before the first client is shut down it transfers all the nondisplayed
messages to the new one, which displays them.
would that solve it?

crashes are a different issue.
however we sould assume that a circle client never crashes.
they never do, do they?
