Keith Seitz here at Red Hat has been working on JDWP support for
libgcj. He recently posted some info about it on the gcj list, see
these two threads:

Some of this code is intended to the VM-neutral. So, we were
wondering if other VM implementors would want this to appear in
Classpath. Some work would most likely be required to make it work
with other VMs.
