No, it failed because you changed the release version from '0.09+cvs' 
to '0.10-pre1' and the script couldn't handle that. The script 
changes the version normally to a date based version because it 
generates daily snapshots with date as version. This is still broken 
as for you current version scheme it overwrites the existing tarball 
if one exists. I need to fix this after the release. 

Can you speak with www.gnu.org admins after the release about a way to 
upload the daily snapshots to make them publically available ?
