Using Xalan for transformation, this seems to work fine. What transformer have
you been using? Can you verify that this still doesn't work in your environment?

Summary: HTML entities such as auml and nbsp should be put back in the API doc

Original Submission: Since the gjdoc that we use (which could have been setup
wrongly) doesn't handle HTML entities (such as auml and nbsp) they were
removed. They should be put back when we get a working gjdoc for this.

Relevant ChangeLog entries:

2003-08-17  Mark Wielaard  <address@hidden>

        * external/jaxp/source/javax/xml/transform/TransformerFactory.java:
        Don't use in the api documentation.
        external/jaxp/source/org/xml/sax/ext/Locator2.java: Likewise.

2003-08-16  Mark Wielaard  <address@hidden>

        * java/security/Security.java: Don't use   in the api
        documentation.

2003-08-16  Mark Wielaard  <address@hidden>

        * java/util/Properties.java: Use the word umlaut, not ä in api
        documentation.
        * java/util/PropertyResourceBundle.java: Likewise and add closing code
        tag.
