Two small requests now that these sources are in the main GNU Classpath
CVS module.

- Could you post patches to address@hidden when you commit them.
- Please use the ChangeLog entry as the commit message.

The patch is fine of course. And I don't want to stop you from quickly
and efficiently fixing these kind of bugs (thanks for that btw, you are
really good and responsive to all the feedback!). But if everybody
follows the above "rules" when working on GNU Classpath it is much
easier to track and see who is working on what (and having a formal
email to classpath-patches also makes sure that accidental cvs commits
are seen by others - I admit to being a bit paranoid here since the
Savannah compromise, but having a "formal" patch policy makes it so much
easier to track any malicious attempt to change the sources - lets hope
it will never be needed).

Some more about this here:
http://www.gnu.org/software/classpath/docs/hacking.html#SEC8

You don't need to ask for approval of course for these things since you
are clearly the expert. So please feel free to just announce why and
which change you are making without waiting for feedback for things
which are clearly obviously correct (like this one).

O, and please let me know if you think all the above is bonkers and
stupid. It is meant to help make the history of GNU Classpath clear and
help make it easier for everybody working on it to see who is doing what
when and why. If it doesn't help with that please complain.

Cheers,

Mark
