                * configure.ac (disable_smashing_stack_protector): New 
conditional, set
                depending on the compiler accepting `-fstack-protector' or not.
                * Makefile.am (CFLAGS): Add `-fno-stack-protector' if
                `disable_smashing_stack_protector' is set.
