anomalies when displaying to Linux

Has anyone seen the following, and if so, is there a solution?

When running DDD 3.2.1 on Solaris 2.7 and displaying to Linux boxes the 
debugger has trouble setting breakpoints through the pop up, and after the 
first attempt at setting the breakpoint, the popup
does not pop up again. However, setting the breakpoint from the command line is 
not a problem

Also, a minor problem is that the auto complete feature on class methods 
doesn't seem to function correctly,
i.e. it completes names with garbage.
