delete & color

Problem:
        I can't delete characters in my command window of the debugger.  Do
I need to specify delete somewhere?  I never had this problem with earlier
versions of DDD.  Is there a config file that I need to modify? If so anyone
know the name of the file?

My splash page has no color. Is there a resource file I need to have in the
directory to indicate colors? (this really isn't a big deal but I thought I
would ask.)
