Running DDD with a remote target

I'm trying to run DDD with a remote target. I enter the command "ddd -host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -login root execfile". When DDD comes up, I try to load a source file so that I can set a breakpoint. The gdb prompt says I have the source file loaded but it does not come up on the source window. Is there a setting I'm missing here?
