DDD: NO Manual

hello:
i had installed DDD version 3.3.1(sparc-sum-solaris2.8)
whenever i select menu Help->DDD Reference...
the DDD always give the error "The DDD manual could
not be accessed"?
how can I do? i had refered the man manual
it gives the parameter -M path
but i still can figure it out.
