DDD keyboard shortcuts not working...

[My apologies if I've posted this message to the wrong list]

I am running GNU DDD 3.3.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) on Redhat 8.0 w/ KDE 3.0.8.  
Unfortunately, none of the keyboard shortcuts (like, F5 for step etc) seem 
to be working, though I can see them in the DDD menu pull-downs.  I am using 
the standard DDD installation which came along w/ Redhat 8.0.

I am just not able to figure out the problem here.  I would really 
appreciate any sort of input as to what could be happening here.
