Status: Open
Summary: ldap ignores admin, and foundry news admin fix

ldap should ignore admin b/c the "admin" account is not a real unix account
(it's not of the x-sourceForgeAccount class), and doesn't have a lot of the
necessary feilds associated with it... therefore, the a few of the ldap
functions that deal with these parameters should just ignore this user account
(and indeed, anthing of uid<=101).

I think this was fixed by my sf_ldap_user_modify_if_exists() patch, that I
committed to the CVS yesterday. Am I right, or is this another problem? It it
is another problem, could you please describe it more precisely?

your solution doesn't seem to quite match what i'm talking about ...

what it looks like you're doing is just ignoring users who don't exist in the
LDAP directory... this is a good thing and should be included also... however,
the "cn=admin" account does exist, it's just not part of
"objectclass=x-sourceforgeaccount" ... so from what i can tell this wouldn't
fix the problem

I still don't understand why it should ignore admin. Admin can be a normal
account too, if he's a member of another project. In this case, why should he
be ignored?
