This is a remnant of the older howto. --no-dvi removes this problem. I've 
updated the howto to reflect this.

Well, it seems all tetex* packages might be needed (for many .sty files 
at least). And that is 46MB of tar.bz2...

So I installed all of those, ran almost out of space but manage to build 
the doc files. Could you check whether they look OK to you? Same place, 
files demexp-book.{dvi,pdf}

It also spams stdout while building files: doc/demexp-book.log is 51K big
