Thank you for the warning. As usual, decisions are not put in stone
and a choice always results from a balance between several opposite
things to consider.

In that particular case, I would favor long term stability of
PostgreSQL against short term easiness of MySQL. But if this is too
difficult or troublesome, we can fall back to MySQL.

I still need to setup a Drupal config on my own machine to test all of this.
