Maybe you don't need it, but I will.
It is useful to check a few things and make minor adjustment in some rare
situations, or to clear the Drupal cache when installing a new module.
Also, when coding the module, especially in the early stages, I can either
spend 2-3 hours writing and *testing* a DB upgrade patch even for a fairly
minor change, OR 5 minutes doing it by hand on the DB, as I often do here and
just did once on the test web site.
Also, I will need to do backups: I will need to test some major upgrade
patches (or Drupal core major upgrades) with some real data, to make sure
that it will work as expected.
