Oops, forgot that was on the list email...
don't worry :)
I have made more crushing mistakes on mailing lists.
(emailing controversial/bordering abusive things onlist about someone
when I thought the message ws offlist was possibly the most embarrassing.)
I can't speak directly for anyone, all I can say is:
a) you *never* lose anything from trying
b) while you may not get what you went their for, if they think you are
an interesting person, they may prefer you in future
c) small-medium technical companies are very interested in young people
with good skillsets and a real passion for technology (large companies,
in my experience, are less friendly)
d) don't be put off by people saying "no", at least they will remember
you next time!
What exactly are you looking for?
Tim
