Don't know very much about GNUstep. However Xext is one of the standard
X libraries, so don't think this has too much to do with GNUstep.
The file it is looking for is libXext.*. I have both a static
(libXext.a) and shared (libXext.so.6) version under /usr/X11R6/lib on my
machine (Debian). I think if you just typed "locate libXext" and
then set you library search path accordingly that would probably solve
all your problems (-L before the -l command in gcc/ld to set the linker
search directory).
