a quick support question

hey folks -

i've been a long time absent from this discussion group. 
trying to get a snapshot of the code, i grabbed one of the
daily snapshots.  however, it is in a .tar.bz2 format which
i'm not positive how to unpack... my standard tar zxf blah.tar.bz2
command didn't do the trick :)

can anyone send me a quick pointer?

ps - i have window maker running on the latest gnustep builds on redhat
linux 7.2 inside vmware on a windows xp athlon box.  amazingly, it all
works!  :)
