Hm. Personally I would like to see some facility to hook up some action 
objects, eg:

...
  <xmlrpc-call id="a" url="http://server/RPC2"; call="fetchNews"/>
...
  <button onclick="#a" title="Get the News !"/>
  Results:<br />
  <tableview datasource="#a"/>
...
aka "data-driven" UI. Nicola, let's talk about this at FOSDEM ! ;-)
