ProjectCenter: Can't create Subprojects

Hi


I desperately try to create a subproject with ProjectCenter. There's 
the menu 'Project->Subprojects->New', but this just has no effect at 
all.
How can I do that with ProjectCenter or how could I create a subproject 
by hand, in a way, that ProjectCenter accepts and further maintains it?
