What a shame! It seems to me that back-xlib was implemented by someone who
might be ignorant of what fontconfig is for.
Sorry for my misleading; I've never thought back-xlib was implemented
in such a way that it spoils fonts.conf.

I'm not sure of it, as I don't know what's going on in the internal of
the latest back-xlib.
