- I know Raphaël! The thing is that it has never worked as expected and there are several things to change. Because of 3.7 being frozen, this will lead to (maybe?) new bugs and could not be considered as a bug, so probably PR wouldn't be accepted.
But if you still consider this is a bug that should be fixed for 3.7 it is OK for me, I don't even have the authority to decide that kind of things!. In fact, I asked for opinion a month ago and nobody answered...

- A feature that misbehaves is a bug in my book.
But, hey, we can discuss this until the cows come home so let's agree that a feature request will do for the time being.
Just make sure you reference this issue so we keep history.

- Report looks to be more a feature request than a bug report. So i
close the request to move it from bug list. Waiting for a

- I propose to discard this bug as it is too late to change late items calculation and file a task to do it for 3.8.

- Because late items are calculated in PHP and not by the DB engine I propose to remove the link to late-items and file a task for implementing it in the future
