kyeran and I will likely talk more about this tomorrow. If all goes
well, I imagine a plan of attack will be presented before too long. In
the interim, any input or advice is surely welcome. :)

I favor correctness unless there's a special or immediate need for
completeness, and even then hack solutions should be temporary. If one
hacks around a problem 'for now', its more likely the hack will linger
rather than the larger problem being fixed. People more often than not
forget, or are distracted by more pressing matters.
