A lot of work will be needed in "support", as it currently
assumes a Posix-ish libc, which Cygwin provides but not Mingw32.
Then we need to track down every use of a filename in the code
and check it. I'm pretty sure that there are a few places
where I have assumed that absolute pathnames begin with '/',
which is true with Cygwin, but not Mingw32.
I'll play with it a bit to see how hard it will be, and then
decide if 0.5.0 is meetable or not.
Cheers,
Rhys.
