Aside from a little GUI and event->message->XML-RPC code nothing runs on the
frontend. The webservice could of course be written to allow access to stuff on
the server using a command language, but that requires writing wrappers for
every function that has to be accessed. So yes, it can be done, but it's not
likely somebody will do it.

It can be used to create virusses, in theory. The frontend will need to read and
write to disk to be able to import/export data from the client. But that's more
a general concern than one specific for this system.
