Hi folks,
Abdabi is on our todo list, but AFAIK not much technical work has been put into
it. Abdabi is a discovery system, which boils down on the technical level to a
RDF context (to use CTP terminology). In order to make it exist an ontology
needs to be defined. An ontology is basically a set of RDF classes. I started
this thread to
get the ontology of Abdabi worked out.
Before we can create classes we must first know what information we want to
store. The way I see things there are two categories of information: information
that is needed for all services offered and information that is specific to a
certain category. Furthermore there is optional and required information.
Following the basic OO model the global (all services) information goes into a
root class. Let's define this class as 'rdf://dotgnu.org/abdabi#global' aka
Global. What goes here?
Webservices are an important category, so we'll have a subclass of Global for
it: 'rdf://dotgnu.org/abdabi#webservice' aka Webservice. What goes in it that
doesn't go into global?
Greetings,
Peter
