Sorry false alert!
I didnt check the calling script and it had this in there
ilrun -L. -L${i_libdir} /usr/local/dotGNU/bin/csws2client.exe $1
now its got
ilrun -L. -L${i_libdir} /usr/local/dotGNU/bin/csws2client.exe $*
and the args are all there. Duh Duh Duh.
