SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES

The 3rd International Conference on .NET Technologies aims at bringing together 
practitioners and researchers from academia and the industry to discuss the 
latest developments in .NET and advance the state of the art in the research on 
related technologies. Interest in these topics has been continuously growing as 
a consequence of the importance and the ubiquity of object-oriented 
technologies. .NET Technologies 2005 builds upon the positive experience of the 
previous editions of the event, held in Pilsen in February 2003 and May 2004.


TOPICS

Original papers describing theoretical and practical results (experience 
reports and case studies) are solicited in the following areas:

- SOFTWARE ENGINEERING: software components, large-scale software, software 
correctness, software security, 
- PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES AND TECHNIQUES: object-oriented techniques, programming 
paradigms, multi-language programming, 
- PARALLEL AND DISTRIBUTED COMPUTING: multithreading, distributed applications, 
high-performance computing, web services, 
- VIRTUAL MACHINES AND BYTECODE, 
- ALGORITHMS AND DATA STRUCTURES, 
- EDUCATIONAL ASPECTS: teaching object-oriented paradigm with .NET, educational 
software, 
- HUMAN COMPUTER INTERFACES: computer graphics, virtual reality with .NET, 
- SUPPORT FOR .NET ON UNIX: Mono project, ROTOR, 
- OTHER TOPICS RELATED TO .NET.  


SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Submitted papers must not have been published or concurrently considered for 
publication elsewhere. All submissions will be judged on the basis of 
originality, contribution to the field, technical and presentation quality, and 
relevance to the conference. Each paper will be refereed by at least 3 
reviewers. Presented papers will be included in the conference proceedings.

Papers should be written in English and not exceed 10 pages (4 pages for short 
papers) in ACM proceedings format. Further information and instructions about

JOURNAL PUBLICATION

The best papers presented at the conference will be published, in their 
extended version, in a special issue of a renowned international journal. 


TUTORIALS

We invite proposals for tutorials presenting challenging applications of .NET, 
and introducing potential users to .NET technologies. Especially welcome are 
tutorials addressing one of the following topics (list non-exhaustive): 
- multi-language paradigm in .NET,
- concurrent and distributed programming in .NET,
- programming languages,
- software security.

in submitting a proposal. Deadline for proposal submission is January 31, 2005.
