additionally, gen-apply seems to segfault with any gcc > 4.3
patch is simple and has been committed by the gentoo developers. you can find
it at the url
http://sources.gentoo.org/viewcvs.py/gentoo-x86/dev-libs/libjit/files/libjit-0.1.2-gcc43.patch?view=markup
I can confirm that on my Arch Linux system with gcc 4.4.1 patch fixes
compilation.
