Thanks for bringing this up. I will be around all of this weekend but
tonight would be best.

Good idea, I will start working on a document with some instructions.

Sure, I'm planning a new release this weekend.

I use an autoconf-based template for my packages but some software use
other build systems and it would be good with templates for them.

It is also important with rules for the package names.
