OK. Here's a very small test case -- shows tarfile.py returning a
file named "././@LongLink" for an (included) one-file tarfile.
I believe the file it fails on is
snapshot/home/rlb/src/dri/build/xc/programs/Xserver/hw/darwin/bundle/Spanish.lproj/Localizable.strings,
which itself is a very long symlink.
To demonstrate, just untar this tarfile, cd test-longlink-bug, and run
./test-tarfile.py.
