Hello,

i have used duplicity for backing up to a SSH Remote. Because my first
*sigtar.gpg is over 500 MB I decide to use the option --archive-dir at
the next inc-Backup. But befor this I copyed all *sigtar.gpg and
*manifest.gpg files manualy from the remote to the local (archiv) dir.

But when I started duplicity with the --archiv-dir Option I get this error:

Manifests not equal because different volume numbers
Fatal Error: Remote manifest does not match local one. Either the
remote backup set or the local archive directory has been corrupted.

Why is my procedure wrong?

I tested this with Version 0.5.17 and 0.5.09 under ubuntu 9.04

thanks for helping

In the local --archive-dir, you will need to decrypt the sigtar and
manifest files. They are stored locally as unencrypted files.

Thats it! Thank you!
