any help is highly appreciated

thanks a lot in advance for the help and especially for duplicity, it
runs fine on my other servers.

Are you running 0.6.0 on the other servers as well?

I'll look into this. I don't need a log from you, but what would help is for you to do an 'ls -l' of ~/.duplicity and your target directory.
I can use that to simulate the problem on this end.

Never mind on the ls. I've been able to recreate it. Will get it fixed.
