[Dvd-devel] solaris - sgen

hello,

i have just downloaded dvdrtools-0.1.2.
i am working on a solaris box (blade100 / sol8/9).
i use a plexwriter 12/4/23 from plextor.

it seems that good old joerg schilling has converted to closed source
and so i dont like him anymore :)
i have used cdrecord 1.8.1 (without troubles) so far and now i'd like
to change to dvdrtools.

it seems that the dvdrtools are currently working with joerg schilling
generic scsi drivers only (on solaris) - which i dont want to use anymore.
solaris has support for generic scsi drives now (sol >= 8) and i'd love
to see dvdrtools burning without any (closed source) from joerg schilling.

is currently any developement ongoing in that direction?

the first thing i want to see working is sthg like
   cdrecord -scanbus
i dont know (yet) anything about the dvdrtools - but there must be sthg similar.
