Hi, I'm a heavy user of eev since 2003.

I admit that I could not understood what eev meant first, but as I use
it I found it very useful.

Eev is E-script environment. E-script contains texts, hyperlinks and
shell commands. Eev hyperlinks are merely sexps of Emacs Lisp, so you
can define your own hyperlinks by only defining function. And they can
be embedded in ANY TEXT FILES including source files. I appreciate
hyperlinks by sexp. I embed sexp hyperlinks in many source files.

Eev can send lines to terminals (eevnow / eech / eechannel-*) or Emacs
buffers (eepitch-*).

If you take a note of things about computer, using e-script is best
way I think. Once you take a note of usage of shell commands, you can
play back noted shell commands easily.
