The following bug must be very recent.
emacs -q
Go to beginning of *scratch*
C-s
ab
Result:
isearch-search-and-update: Wrong type argument: integerp, ["a" "a" 41
41 t 40 nil nil nil 1 ...]
Backtrace:
Debugger entered--Lisp error: (wrong-type-argument integerp ["a" "a"
41 41 t 40 nil nil nil 1 nil t])
isearch-search()
isearch-search-and-update()
isearch-process-search-string("b" "b")
isearch-process-search-char(98)
isearch-printing-char()
call-interactively(isearch-printing-char)
A similar error happens on _every_ failing isearch.
After that Emacs just responds to C-g with some further error messages.
C-l gets one out of the mess.
Sincerely,
Luc.
