Today's GNU Emacs CVS snapshot, Wed, 2005 Nov 16 13:36 UTC
built with no reported errors:

    ./configure --with-type1 --with-x-toolkit=gtk \
                --prefix=/usr/local --with-sound=yes 

    make bootstrap

Attempted to start Emacs with

     /usr/local/src/emacs/src/emacs -Q -D

but received this message instead:

    (emacs:21366): Gdk-WARNING **: gdkpixbuf-drawable.c:1249: Source
    drawable has no colormap; either pass in a colormap, or set the
    colormap on the drawable with gdk_drawable_set_colormap()
