What this does not document is `cua-selection-mode', which, IMHO, we
should promote as a replacement for pc-selection-mode.  
cua-selection-mode does not change the meaning of C-x / C-v, but it does
offer the delete-selection-mode + Shif-ARROW_KEY selects region behavior
that is now used by the vast majority of desktop applications (including
Gnome, KDE).
