Bazaar is written in Python and requires A Python-2 environment to be
installed on a system using Bazaar. Doesn't this make Python a GNU
package?
No. See gnu.org/categories.html for what it means to be a GNU
package.
At least it is a GNU required package.
If you define "GNU required package" as any package needed
to run some GNU package, then Python would be one.
But that is not a concept we use.
