Inasmuch as Ergus has recently expressed a desire to work on face extensions, I 
thought it would be helpful to bring to everyone's attention a couple of recent 
threads where a user is attempting to workaround (using Lisp) a background face 
that gets extended when folding source code blocks in org-mode:
