Gnus/5.13 (Gnus v5.13) Emacs/26.3 (gnu/linux) |
On a fresh pull today, I have built emacs from two branches:
A. "Test branch" from origin/emacs-27, giving me emacs-27.0.60:
1. emacs -q <RET> launches with no errors.
2. emacs <RET> launches with no errors.
B. "Master branch" giving me emacs-28.0.5:
1. emacs -q <RET> launches with no errors.
2. emacs <RET> launches with a Lisp error:
(void-function bbdb-initialize). This particular error may not be
significant because I then get a different error (can't find pandoc) if
I comment out mentions of bbdb in my ~/.emacs.
I haven't been able to identify yet the particular part of my ~/.emacs which
is the source of the error. I suppose that's my problem. However, I
thought it worthwhile to report it here since others may experience
something similar.
Best wishes,
